Included with the USB Audio Adapter is the Xear 3D software for virtual 7.1 channel sound for use with Win XP,Win Vista, Win 7, Win 8 and Win 8.1. It adds two additional speakers to the more conventional six-channel audio with 5.1 surround sound, 7.1 surround sound positional audio uses the standard front left and right, center, and LFE.
